Summary:
Gas tank uses a 1975-up type petcock and has a fuel capacity of 4.5 gallons. Tank mounts with stock hardware and features 1983-up filler necks. Check the tank for flaws or fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition and seal in order to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. All tanks or tank sets will require hand fitting to give correct alignment for dash and fuel line fitment. Dash will also have to be shimmed when installed, to achieve correct height. *Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged " oversize" for shipment, as compared to the actual weight, which will result in higher shipping costs.
