Summary:
Kit is a high performance spring kit designed to increase oil pressure on TC-88 oil pumps. The " superpump kit" is installed in the pressure relief valve of the cam support plate which means removal of pushrods to cam plate. Each kit includes 3 color coded springs. Kit is used to increase oil pressure on all 1999 and up TC-88 engines. The correct amount of oil pressure is as follows: For cold engine start up is 44-50 p.s.i, for warm engine at 2000 r.p.m and up is 30-38 p.s.i, for warm engine at idle is at leaset 10 p.s.i. For proper spring selection use with a warm engine 2000 r.p.m. and up. An average of 20 p.s.i. and up: install the " blue" spring. An average of 10-20 p.s.i.: install the " yellow" spring. An average of less than 10 p.s.i: install the " red" spring. Use the spring alignment/installation tool.
